Down 2 lbs ...whooo hoooo
This morning I sat down to have my cup of coffee and picked up an old bible study. Currently I am in between bible studies and when I don't have one going I'm sorta lost on what to do or read from my bible daily. So I pickup an old one, there are always days that had been missed. Well the day that it opened up to was in Beth Moore's study of "Living Beyond Yourself" Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit. This is a great study and Beth Moore is my favorite, beyond favorite author.
Well this morning that scripture was Hosea 11:1-4. Hosea?? Where is that, took some time to find it but boy was it worth it. Old testimant after the Psalms. It is listed below. What this is talking about is knowing God as your father, not just your spiritual father but your father...knowing that father / child relationship. This is like no other relationship. Beth Moore goes on to say... Do you allow God to nurture you? Do you understand that He takes great delight in careing for you? "we will never be successful as parents to our children until we are successful at being children to our Heavenly Father." This might be something you can't even fathom. Psalms 81:10 "I am the LORD your God, you brought you out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it." ` John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. I am so thankful that I have someone who loves me as I am, just know that if you have accepted him as your savior that is exactly what He is.. a savior, a friend, a father.
I love you, have an awesome day.
God's Love for Israel
1 "When Israel was a child, I loved him,
and out of Egypt I called my son.
2 But the more I [a] called Israel,
the further they went from me. [b]
They sacrificed to the Baals
and they burned incense to images.
3 It was I who taught Ephraim to walk,
taking them by the arms;
but they did not realize
it was I who healed them.
4 I led them with cords of human kindness,
with ties of love;
I lifted the yoke from their neck
and bent down to feed them.
